Care of Press-On Nails
Press-on nails are reusable false nails that you can apply and remove as you wish. On this page, discover the best practices for maintaining your press-on nails and extending their lifespan.
If you use Gel-Pads
Removing press-on nails applied with gel pads is simple if you follow the protocol on the “installation and removal” page. After removal, your false nails should retain their original shape. To prepare them for new use, simply remove any leftover gel-pad from the bottom of the capsules by gently scraping them off with the stick provided.
If you use Glue
The removal process is similar to gel pads, but may take longer because the glue takes longer to soften. After removing your press-on nails, you will probably notice some glue residue under the caps. You can remove them in two ways:
-
With acetone : Use a cotton ball soaked in acetone to dissolve the glue. Be careful not to use too much acetone, as this could damage your press-on nails.
-
With a file or electric sander/driller : Lightly file the underside of the capsule to remove glue residue. If you have an electric nail grinder/driller, make sure you don't apply too much pressure, as this can damage the false nails.
